Calendar and online bookingVirtual Receptionist and Agendessa: the diary fills itself while the phone rings
Your AI receptionist answers the call, checks real availability in your Agendessa diary and books the slot, so nobody has to put down the scissors or leave a patient to pick up.
The connection is free on our Growth and Scale plans. Agendessa is a separate booking app for salons, clinics and studios, with its own subscription.
What the receptionist does with your diary
Four front desk jobs, handled on the phone and in the website chat.
Live availability
No fixed list of times. On every call the agent asks Agendessa what is genuinely free for that service and that team member on the day the caller wants.
Bookings straight into the diary
Once the caller says yes, the appointment appears in Agendessa with the service, time and staff member, exactly like an online booking.
Moves and cancellations
Running late or off sick? The agent finds the existing appointment, offers a new time or cancels it, always after checking with the caller first.
Regulars recognised
Returning clients are matched by phone number, so the agent already knows their next appointment and does not ask for a surname twice.
How it sounds in a barbershop in Leeds
Caller: Hiya, could I get a skin fade with Callum on Saturday morning?
Agent: Callum has 9:40 or 11:20 free on Saturday. Which one suits you?
Caller: Twenty past eleven, please.
Agent: Saturday at 11:20, skin fade with Callum. Shall I pop that in? ... Done, you are booked in.
The times come from Agendessa at that very moment, and the booking shows up in the shop's diary straight away.

Connected in four steps
- 1
Create a key in Agendessa
Go to Settings, then API and integrations, and create an API key with read, clients and appointments permissions.
- 2
Paste it into your dashboard
In the Virtual Receptionist dashboard open Integrations, then Agendessa, paste the key and press Test. When your business name appears, you are connected.
- 3
We link the agent and test it
Our team connects your voice agent to the diary and we place a few test calls together.
- 4
Go live
Use the agent's number or divert your existing line to it, all day or only outside opening hours.
What does it cost?
Linking Virtual Receptionist to Agendessa costs nothing on Growth and Scale (and the Omni versions of both). Your call minutes stay within your usual plan.
The diary itself comes from Agendessa, a booking app with online appointments, a client list and reminders. You subscribe to it separately, directly with them. If you already use Agendessa, all you need is the API key.
